Shahid Khan was born in 1952and is now one of the most famous Pakistani born American billionaire and a businessman. He is currently running the Jacksonville Jaguars as its owner at the National Football League, the English Premier League team Fulham F.C., and automobile parts manufacturer Flex-N-Gate in Urbana, Illinois. At the end of September 201 his total net worth was around 3.8 billion dollars and his rank is 122nd on the Forbes list of 400 richest people in America. He is also over all the 490th affluent person of the world. He has been on the front cover of the Forbes magazine during the year 2012 in which they have called him the face of the American dream.
The Early Life and Poor Living
He was not this much wealthy always, in fact he was born in Lahore, Pakistan and belongs to a very middle class family who were involved in the construction trades. His mother herself was a retired mathematics professor. When he was 16 years old he moved to America during the year 1968 where he studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign nut the first night that he ever spent here was in a $2/night room at the University Y-YMCA and he used to wash dishes in order to pay for his studies and rents. His sole salary was about 1.2 dollars an hour. During his schooling stretch he joined Beta Theta Pi fraternity and then graduated from UIUC College of Engineering with a BSc in Industrial Engineering in 1971.

He is just now living a true American dream and for that he owns it all to his sports teams but he does know that it has been a very bumpy ride. After the incident of 9/11 he had also been a victim of racism and much annoyance but he never lost faith in himself and this is why he appreciates the hard work of his boys and helps them in all ways possible. It is because of this fact that he has received a number of awards and honors from University of Illinois among which the most highlighted reward is the Distinguished Alumnus Award in 1999 from the Department of Mechanical Science and Industrial Engineering. His other achievements include the Alumni Award for Distinguished Service in 2006 from the College of Engineering and the Distinguished Service Award in 2005 from the University of Illinois Alumni Association with his wife.
