Navision is a company which developed the technology for Microsoft Dynamics NAV enterprise resource planning software. It was later acquired by Microsoft on 12th July 2002 and was renamed as Microsoft Dynamics.

aQuantive

Acquired for: $7.333 Billion

Microsoft and aQuantiveaQuantive is an advertising company which ranked 14th among all the advertising agencies in the world in terms of revenue before its acquisition. It was divided into three categories i.e. Avenue A/Razorfish, Atlas Solutions and DRIVE Performance Solutions. All these were acquired by Microsoft on 13th August 2007.

Fast Search & Transfer is a Norwegian Enterprise Search Company. In order to boost the company’s search technology, Microsoft acquired Fast Search & Track on 25th April 2008.

Skype

Nokia and Microsoft Nokia devices and smartphones have been recently acquired by Microsoft. This was the most beneficial offer for both Nokia and Microsoft. Microsoft played another smart move in purchasing Nokia.
