Prince William’s Love for Africa

Prince Willian and Prince George

Prince William deeply loves Africa. The most probable reason behind this love for the whole continent is that he spent most of his childhood there with his mother. Princess Diana always wanted her children to live a normal life away from the royals and their riches to get a better understanding of the outside world. She turned out to be successful in bringing up her children. She passed on this love for the African continent to Prince William. He loves spending his vacations there and he even proposed Catherine in Africa. He now plans to make an African-themed nursery for his son. His love for Africa is clearly visible from his words:

I do regularly day dream, and Africa is definitely one of the places I go to. I’ve got hundreds of animals on my iPhone, noises and sounds of the bush, so if I’m having a stressful day, I’ll put a buffalo, a cricket or a newt on and it takes you back instantly to the bush. And it does completely settle me down.

Prince George’s African Nursery

The proud parents of Prince George Alexander Louis delightedly announced their desire to design an African-themed nursery for the Prince of Cambridge. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a strong feel and connection to Africa.

Africa as a continent has the second largest population in the world. It has attracted Princess Diana and now Prince William for his family. Africa is a place which brings about loads of buffalos, bushes and rhinos to your mind. However, for them, it is a lot more than that. It is a complete lifestyle and a whole new world for Prince William.

Prince George will probably be taken to Africa in a few years so that he also grows up in the same culture and atmosphere like his father did. For now, Prince William is arranging an African-themed nursery. While planning about the nursery, he says:

I will have toy elephants and rhinos around the room. We’ll cover it in, you know, lots of bushes and things like that. We’ll make him grow up as if he’s in the bush.

Africa is a diverse and beautiful place which is full of variety of colors. It is described as a land of great art and handicrafts especially in the urban face of the continent. It has provided home to 1.033 billion people. Africa is one of the very few areas which depict the world’s remaining untapped natural resources and arable land. Africa is not just a continent; it is an economy, industry, politics, culture and history. The royal parents of Prince George are in favor of the African Nursery since they both have a strong interest in Africa.

The royal family will surely be welcomed with great love and honor whenever they go to Africa with the royal baby. All for now!
